The METASH MWD-650/MWD-700 microwave digestion system is designed for efficient and reliable sample preparation in analytical laboratories. It combines microwave heating with contactless temperature and pressure monitoring to provide precise digestion control, improved safety, and consistent results. Available with 12 or 18 digestion vessels, the system supports demanding laboratory workflows while reducing sample loss and contamination risks.
Specially Designed Digestion Vessels
The digestion vessels feature an automatic venting and self-resealing design. When sudden over-pressure occurs, the vessel can automatically release excess pressure and quickly reseal. This helps prevent vessel damage, reduces sample waste, and improves operational safety during digestion.
Each vessel uses imported TFM material with a 100 mL volume, while the protection vessel is made from PEEK reinforced with glass fiber for reliable performance under demanding digestion conditions.
Contactless Temperature and Pressure Monitoring
The microwave digestion system uses an imported contactless IR sensor to measure the actual temperature of the sample solution rather than the vessel wall. A contactless pressure sensor simultaneously monitors pressure inside each vessel.
Real-time temperature and pressure values are displayed throughout the digestion process, allowing operators to clearly monitor digestion conditions. Independent vessel monitoring also helps reduce the risk of sample cross-contamination and supports more controlled sample preparation.
Flexible Method Programming
The MWD-650/MWD-700 provides storage for up to 255 digestion method programs. Each method can contain up to 10 programmable steps, with adjustable temperature, pressure, time, and microwave power parameters.
This flexible programming capability allows laboratories to create, save, and reuse customized digestion procedures for different sample types, improving workflow consistency and reducing repetitive setup work.
Multi-Layer Safety Protection
Safety is integrated into the design of the microwave digestion system. A double-locked security door, separate protection vessel frame, real-time temperature and pressure monitoring, automatic over-pressure and over-temperature adjustment, and abnormal sound monitoring work together to create a safer operating environment.
The microwave cavity is constructed from 316L stainless steel with a corrosion-resistant coating, while a high-power corrosion-proof air blower provides effective exhaust during operation.
